Abstract
This study aims to find out the phrasal verbs used in online videos from TED Talks. AntConc will be used to compile and investigate the phrasal verbs phenomenon in six topics of TED Talks. Data for the present study will select ninety videos from the popular topics of TED Talks about technology, entertainment, design, business, science, and global issues the topic. Data collection will include the concordance lines and the frequency of phrasal verbs used in these ninety speech videos.
Besides, the one-way ANOVA test will be carried out to investigate whether there are significant differences of used phrasal verbs among the sixty videos. The context analysis also would be used depending on the result of the one-way ANOVA test.
It is expected that the findings will help us to understand the distribution of phrasal verbs used in online videos from TED Talks. In addition, the results of the study could benefit the fields of language teaching and learning, ESL or EFL teachers can use online video from TED Talks as the teaching material for phrasal verbs to reduce learners’ anxiety of studying or using them and become native-like.

Abstract
This study aims to find out the hedging devices about epistemic modality markers used in online political editorials from two different online-news websites: BBC and CNN. AntConc is used to compile and investigate the hedging phenomenon with the concordance lines, the frequency, the top 100 list word, and the cluster.

Abstract
This study aims to examine how the compliment response strategies are used by different genders in Taiwan. The research data contains 11 compliment exchanges from females to females, 11 from males to males, 11 from females to males, and 11 from males to females. The data are analyzed based on Herbert’s (1990) Taxonomy of Compliment Response Strategies (cited in Al-rousan, Awal, & Salehuddin, 2016). The result shows that females and males tended to use acceptance and non-agreement to be their responses.
